Dancer and artistic entrepreneurs headshots should show the personality of the creative person being photographed. While traditional corporate headshots may have their place, your headshot session needs to show some flair, some color and maybe a little glamour!

If you are auditioning for a part, you want your headshots to stand out from a sea of submissions. If you’re a choreographer (solopreneur) you want headshots that make people stop what they’re doing so they can find out more.

We create a custom headshot session for you…

With your headshot session, our goal is to capture your distinct personality and style. We will set up a phone or Zoom consultation to discuss you and your work, different looks, locations, background colors, hair and makeup and more.

There is no time limit for our creative headshot sessions, but they typically last 1-2 hours. This is why the consultation is so important-we make maximum use of your time so you have the best selection of images to choose from.

Location, Location, Location

Should you do an outdoor headshot photo session? Should you do a studio photo session?

This question is one of the items we discuss over our phone or video consultation. Different locations communicate differently, but just about anywhere can work, depending on your goals.

Sometimes you can choose both by having a studio photo session, and then moving outside to capture a ‘city’ or ‘urban’ vibe.

Sometimes you may want to have your headshots at your office or studio space so they are representative of where you make the magic happen.

We can photograph you anywhere you like, and will bring our studio to you anywhere in Orange County, CA.

Showing up in front of the camera

Professional hair and makeup is recommended for all women, and a fresh haircut and beard grooming (if you have one) is recommended for men. We can put you in touch with one of our preferred HMUA’s or you can choose your own.

Before your session, we will have an outfit consultation to be sure you have a range of possibilities. Sometimes the best images just need an outfit change!

We take the anxiety out of being in front of the camera with clear posing direction that brings out your best facial expressions.

If you’re an actor or performer, we’ll work with you to show your range, particularly if you have an upcoming audition.
